International Final Qualifying (IFQ)
International Final Qualifying (IFQ) events for The Open Championship were introduced in 2004 and are held on five continents to give more players from around the world the chance to gain direct entry into golf’s oldest championship.
IFQ events for The 2010 Open at St Andrews will be as follows:
IFQ — Australasia: 14 & 15 January 2010, Kingston Heath Golf Club, Melbourne, Australia
IFQ — Africa: 20 & 21 January 2010, Royal Johannesburg & Kensington, South Africa
IFQ — Asia: 10 & 11 March 2010, Saujana Golf & Country Club, Malaysia
IFQ — America: 24 May 2010, Gleneagles Country Club, Plano, Texas, USA
IFQ — Europe: 7 June 2010, Sunningdale Golf Club, Surrey, England
Regional Qualifying (RQ)
Regional Qualifying for the 2010 Open will be played on 21 June 2010 at 16 clubs: Abridge, Berwick-upon-Tweed (Goswick), Clitheroe, County Louth, Coventry, East Sussex National, Effingham, Enville, Ferndown, Gog Magog, Lindrick, Mere, Musselburgh, Old Fold Manor, Pannal and The London.
Local Final Qualifying (LFQ)
Local Final Qualifying for the 2010 Open will be played on 29 June 2010 at Fairmont St Andrews, Kingsbarns Links, Ladybank and Scotscraig.
